SEND
At Playshack every child is unique, and we aim to provide a welcoming environment to everyone.
We work closely with all outside agencies who visit and share information to support the children in the setting when needed.
Our Senco works with families and children who need additional support, she undertakes training to keep up to date with legislation and to enhance her knowledge and skills.
She has been called upon to facilitate at conferences by the local authority to help other nurseries in the borough to improve their understanding of SEN.
We aim to ensure all staff , families and children are valued. We encourage an ethos of respect , inclusion, diversity, trust, consideration, sensibility and positivity
Our Learning Journey With Your Child
At Playshack we are all about creating inspiring experiences and environments.
As a childcare provider we are required to deliver the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) this underpins the requirements of learning for all children.
This helps children become confident learners, who can also form positive relationships with others and inspire them to love learning.
We cater for all the areas of learning through our curriculum and planning.
Children are individuals with a unique personality.
We start by talking to parents/carers about the child and spend time observing the child to understand their current interests and development.
Our interactive planning provides not only adult led initiated activities but allows us to be flexible to take advantage of the spontaneous moments. Such as finding a spider, rain, snow etc.
We work extremely hard to create and inspiring environment both in and outside.
From providing a mud kitchen, planting areas for vegetables, fruit and plants and a sensory garden with herbs and scented plants for the children to touch and smell.
